Saturday 12th February 2011 Gold Coast locals will have an opportunity to be part of a fund raising beach walk, “ Heartwave Beach Walk” and create a giant heart formation to send a visual message of support to those affected by the Queensland floods.
Enjoy a beach walk with like minded people
This is a great place for The Heartwave Beach Walk at beautiful Currumbin Beach; you will be able to enjoy a beach walk with like minded people and support fellow Queenslanders.

Elephant Rock is the meeting place
Participants will meet at the southern side of Elephant Rock and pay a $10 donation (kids pay a gold coin) for QLD flood victims. Click here for details.
The morning finishes with all participants forming a large heart shape formation in the sand which will be captured by aerial image to send a visual message “You are in our hearts”of love and support to those affected by the Queensland Floods –

The heartwave beach walk will take around about an hour and you will be able to feast yours eyes on the beauty of the southern Gold Coast, and plan your next walk all the way to Coolangatta!
After the Heartwave Beach Walk, stay awhile and enjoy the many walks and lookouts offered at Currumbin Beach, have a $6 coffee and cake at Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary Cafe. Every voucher that is redeemed Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary will donate $1.00 to the ‘Heartwave Beach Walk, two great causes working together.
